Ben Gieske - Our Time and Place

Ben Gieske - Our Time and Place

We live in time br not the place we’re in br We can change the place br but not the time. br br The sun holds fast in place. br Sundials shadow its timely movement. br br All the colors blend in the light. br All the colors blend in the night. br br “In the final analysis you write your way to God.” br - Marina Tsuetaeva, “History of a Dedication.” br br God has done some writing of hisher own br and on to us did send. br If we could only read it br and know what was hisher intent. br br Nature’s open book is one; br something including the birds and bees. br Another is more scriptural, br writings of long ago through men. br br Is God still writing hisher mind? br Some do not believe so. br They leave all of God behind br in those books of long ago, br br As if God is not all living still br and has nothing more to will. br Their lives are a closed book br as is sometimes told by their look. br br No God-sent telegrams for them, e-mail, or mail postmarked. br They have all their pages in the scriptures marked. br But still deciphering those writings must be done. br Until then what must we believe will come? br br - Oct.
