A human being br consisted of spheres and cubes br all stacked precariously on top br of one another. br br And he saw emotions br as spirals and intersecting lines, br all seeking order, all bounded br by circumference and calculations. br br But try as he would, br he could not disect the feeling br that he never really saw the sun, br the tree, another human being— br only forms, not substance. br Life, for him, was a mathematics textbook, br without the solutions.
