A POEM AT THE END OF THE DAY br br A poem at the end of the day br Cannot have the hope br Of a morning poem. br br A poem at the end of the day br Has to have weariness in it br And sadness br And fear. br br The night is coming br But no one knows what the night will be. br br A poem at the end of the day br Does not know if it will ever see the morning. br br It has fear in it br And I would not write it, br Were it not br The end of the day now.
