Sadiqullah Khan - @ The Way We Connect

This is the way we connect br From inside out and vice versa br This is a blue autumn in a maple leaf, br A nostalgic olive green and a cushion of red br Beige and almond color, orange and mustard: br We think the pastels have been rubbed br To the canvas and are being sold br Like frozen words enchained in a paper back. br br An inverted rectangle had a different meaning br Posted on grey wall, as if two silhouettes br Out of hatred for each other are embracing. br Lifting oneself from above the body br Piercing through and through to know br Why people have been created, br And knowing that every thing is without sanity. br br An eye above an eagle’s and some molten gold br Holding on to the base as possession br From a distant past and a minimalist palette; br The discovery of an artist long dead, br An amazing hue of red and green br And we did not know except br The exotica of purple and pink taken from br The color of lips of some women who did not care. br br Pointillist, miniature manicures br Playing with ideas mutilated and disfigured br Nothing else would change the reality br A translated verse of the yore was so clichéd: br Knowing and not knowing is equal. br I decided to let her decide br A cover for my book at least br A fresh idea will be transported and I know br Nothing decides the fate and a heap br Dumped on the shelves, br Would decide what alienation is like to read.
