Gert Strydom - The Fourteen Days Rain

Gert Strydom - The Fourteen Days Rain

When the rain fell for fourteen days br The yellow peaches did get ripe br While streams washed like rivers br And sheep and even cattle drowned, br br The dust roads became muddy br While the rain poured down br As if without end. br br And on a particular day br The sun shone while it was raining br With the pouring drops br Shining bright like diamonds br br But the farmers were trapped on their farms br By streams that crossed roads, br That where flowing strong like rivers br And where they were praying constantly for rain br They started to beg the Lord br For the rain to end..
