Poppy Snow - Poppy Hoppy Monoskiers! & Pond Jumping Snowboarding! & Freestyle & Mono Skiing! & Ouch! Heaven on Snow! br br Part 1- Poppy Hoppy Monoskiers! br br This Snow Pop video work is rough and nostalgic created in 1993 when snowboarding was prohibited almost of ski area in Japan. We were Monoski freaks but we could not enjoy it much. Because Monoski structure was just made as double-enlarged ski at that time, so which was too stiff and too heavy that we could never experience the joy. And more, it was really hard for us to find the monoskiing area the same as snowboarders. br br We thought it over... why don't we remodel snowboard-type Monoski?! br We, Snow Pop team created this Poppy Snow video with full of fun which could be more popular and get more freaks, we believed. The videographer; Kunio bought a video camera for amateur just before the race, took only few minutes test in a park near and went into Pond Jumping Performance Race. br The 1st commemorative? MICROMEDIA Video was born like this, clap clap clap!!! br This video is digitized of master's 1st copy instead of crumbled master tape. We exactly did such analogue editing work that was really unbelievable now! br We hope you'll enjoy watching the taste of amateur analogue jaggy as well. The narrator is Iris, she is pretty half American and half Japanese. More, we deeply thank to many of the great cooperators including very open-minded monoskiers there. br See you riding on our 3rd Test Board non-appearing yet in this video! ;) br br They are Monoski & Fugeru (Mini-ski) freaks in Tenjindaira, Japan. The top-big wide black monoski is UNI-SKI from Boston, America. The person in charge of develop and manufacturing is Chip, he is a surfer, too. UNI-SKI is strongly bounced just like a rodeos and one tester was jumped over and dislocated her left shoulder completely. Japanese Monoski company made Transonic later which was similar shape of UNI-SKI. br br br Part 2 - Pond Jumping Snowboarding! br br This crazy entertainment is the 1st Pond Jumping Performance Race in Asagai, the date was April 4th, 1993, in Japan. The entry was around 300 snowboarders but over half guys withdrew after seeing the big pond, the sliding distance was about 10m far. br br br Part 3 - Freestyle & Mono Skiing! br br They are Gunma Pref. Freestyle Team "Four Wings" in Tenjindaira, and Snow Pop Monoski Testing Team in Marunuma Kogen, Japan. br You can see our Snow Pop test boards; Mini Monoski and the black-sole long Monoski. br We put the cracked stainless edge our tester; Kadoi kindly made back on the original Mini Monoski which was a no-edge snowboard for kids. The black-sole long test board was the latest model for speed-racing with monocoque and symmetry. We put carbon fiber crossly on tail and duralumin under binding to strengthen them.
