Dimitri Jagodinski - An old black man and a young gangster... Poem about Racism

I was in my office one day br And an old black truck driver came my way br As we were talking a ganster walked in br Cussing all the white men br The old black man looked at him br He said boy where have you been br I was born in racial segragation br Whipped day in and day out br You do not know what your talking about br I am tired of you so called gansters br Crying about racism br You were never put in a cage like a hamster br You get scholarships br Business loans br Affirmitive action br Cars and cell phones br I had to work my tail off to earn the things I have br You just cry racism and they give in to your lies while you laugh br I forgave the white people along time ago br They were fools that needed to know br What wrong was done br Now they try making amends br And we in turn reversed the racism br Become a real man br Watch over your family br Work hard and honestly br Earn your keep br God will make you reap br Forgive the past br Help make the future last br Love your brothers and sisters br Respect your elders br End the hatred you did not earn br The hatred that I once scorned br Because hatred will eat you inside br And stupidity like racism will never die.
