Captain Cur - Autumnal Equinox, Weymouth Bay

Autumnal Equinox br br Beleaguered on all sides, br fate has dealt me a stifling blow; br yet, I marvel at this precious earth br with the Harvest Moon in tow. br br Buffered by the isles brilliant lakes br in the blue tapestries of the sea br the threads of love slip my embrace br and I tremble at what must be. br br Weymouth Bay br br In late September the last warming rays br inspiring rests on me br nights are the loveliest in Weymouth Bay br protecting me from the sea. br br Roving England's southern coast her pliant br chalk downs bedevil my eyes br centuries they stand awash in silence br demurred by the fleckless skies. br br Built on the backs of the mineral salts br shallow oceans left behind br carved by the troughs of receding shores br bleeding white in faultless lines. br br Majestic I soar with a subtle sight br while climbing green Dorcet hills br I view the world from these marvelous heights br where the hands of time lie still.
