Margaret Alice Second - Sing Into The Wind

Margaret Alice Second - Sing Into The Wind

Did everything right yesterday, I thought, went br home and prepared mountains of vegetables, br green runner beans, sweet potato, carrots and br plain potatoes - NO ice-cream, no treats, just br the bare essentials and look at the result - br br Tired at work, dispirited, all the Bombay curry br back in full force to torture me, fatigue and br chemical depression, and the inimitable wire br stiffening around my head, stifling - although br I have not eaten allergy foods, finally drank br br Hot chocolate and mega-coffee, having landed br in molasses and sinking I might just as well stay br here, suffering to breathe and cannot see, vision br completely unfocused, my only hope is to sing br on my way home, sing the discomfort away and br br Float on a dream, only great thoughts and mighty br visions can prevent me from falling into a mael- br strom of pain and regret - so let me prepare my br song, let me practice under my breath in the open br plan office, let me sing into the wind….
