No ear nor tongue may ever tell br All the tortures of mankind. br No voice is so soft and clear br As the conscience of our mind. br br It is our one true sanctuary br Where God alone makes the rules! br The guardian of our souls br Which keeps us from being fools. br br By learning, loving, working, teaching and prayer br We submit our years as a tale to be told. br The survival of life is our pilgrimage br As we tackle each challenge both young and old. br br No one can be sure of how long they will last br Though all have a choice of whom they choose to be. br Warmongers, adulterers, thieves or saints br Everyone must some day bow down before Thee. br br From dust we were made and shall return br After life has brought us to our Earthly end. br Though all must walk in the shadow of death br The righteous are promised they will rise again. br br Our conscience keeps us faithful br It's a whisper of God in man. br For without it we're mere puppets br Who dance to the Devil's hand.
