David Wilson - I wish

David Wilson - I wish

I wish I could wrap her up, and put her away br Lay her softly on a golden tray br And let her sit until another day br I wish I could wrap her up, and put her away br Put her in the closet, or under the bed br Until the dust has settled, and the 'kings' are dead br I wish i could wrap her up and put her away br In the basement where no one ever looks br So she'll collect dust, like vintage books br And I wish that just like those old books br br I'll come across her later br And cry out in surprise br I wish i could start over, and read again br So i could see the words with open Eyes br I wish i could go back, and realize br That she's so different, so fragile br I wish that i had known sooner br That behind the cold stare br A heart beats and chokes there br That Behind the Cold Stare br An Incredible mind, rests there br I wish i could wrap her up, and put her away br in the dark until, the dawn of a good day br Where I can bring her out, and she can smile br I wish she could have all her wishes br If only, for just a little whilebr br David Wilsonbr br
