Katherine Perry - There Was Once A Young Woman With So Many Children

There was once a young woman br Who did not live in a shoe br And she had so many children br That she did know what to do br br She kept them dressed br She kept them fed br She let them play br And jump on their beds br br They could laugh br And they could sing br But they couldn't talk back br Or they would get a stare so br mean br br The mother had long hair br Strawberry blonde and curly br too br Her skin was soft and fair br And wore weights on her shoes br br For she liked to work out br Always trying to stay in shape br But her kids would never pout br Because they got to go with her br and stay up late br br Mom took kids on critter hunts br quite often br From different parks to hunts in br their own back yard br She showed them how to respect br and love animals, their hearts br quickly softened br So much that losing a pet, made br it very hard br br She tried hard to take care of br things br But sometimes it got to be almost br impossible br With the laundry and so many things br to clean br It was clear she needed help, which br seemed logical br br But somehow for awhile she did it all br And told them how much she loved them br every day br And when the evening would fall br They all went to bed on a pallet in br the living room where they would play br br For they loved camping out with mom br on the floor br And mom even loved it too br Just one big happy family with room br for one or two more br For there were never too many or too br few br br Today she wishes she would have done br some things differently br But if she would have, they wouldn't br be who they are today br And even though they sometimes drove br her crazy mentally br The amount of love she has for them br could not be measured in any way!br br Katherine Perrybr br
