Angela Wybrow - Lady (horse poem)

Angela Wybrow - Lady (horse poem)

Of my girl, Lady, I feel so fond; br The two of us share a special bond. br I haven't owned her all that long, br But the trust between us is so strong. br br There was a time when she felt sad - br When a previous owner treated her bad. br But with me she's found a brand new start; br I love her dearly - with all of my heart. br br She's a gypsy cob - black and white, br And thirteen point two hands in height. br I love to sit and watch her play: br It chases my blues and cares away. br br To her, sometimes I sing a song: br She swishes her tail and nods along. br Her funny little ways make me smile, br And I can forget the world for a while. br br She brightens up the dullest of days br With her constant love and playful ways. br Across her paddock, she will canter, br To share with me some friendly banter. br br When I feel sad and teardrops glisten, br Lady is always there to listen. br My heart returns the love she's giving; br She makes my life so worth living. br br As a young girl, I had a bad fall: br Between myself and the saddle, I built a wall. br But she's helping me get my confidence back - br The confidence which I so greatly lacked. br br I know she'll love me no matter what; br Such a special friend, I know I've got. br She is the stand-out from a crowd; br To be her owner, I'm just so proud.
