David Harris - Sealed With A Kiss

David Harris - Sealed With A Kiss

A pile of old letters br lay forgotten in an attic, br letters written long ago br in the bloom of someone’s youth. br They were tied with a pink ribbon br and kept preciously br by someone I do not know. br Each letter spoke of love, br the yearning of being apart, br and how good it would feel br to be home once again. br How wonderful it would be br back in loves arms again br away from a terrible war br that had to part them too quickly br shortly after their wedding day. br They spoke of plans for their future br and how their love would grow. br They would start afresh br at the beginnings of the first snow. br Each letter was sealed with a kiss br that was there for all to see. br It told the story of unbroken love br that would live on through every tragedy br and sealed with a kiss. br The last letter in the pile br was tear stained and edged in black. br It told the story br that her lover never came back.
