Roderick Dwayne Gering - On Twilight’s Edge

Roderick Dwayne Gering - On Twilight’s Edge

I cannot recall exactly when, was it a dream br Was I walking on the backstreets of memory br A voice asked me, 'Do you know the difference br Between the light and the dark? ' br Echoes led me deep into a cold, dark place br Tortured growls from a wounded mother beast br I stood in awe of the horror to be unleashed br Lost souls shrieked petitions before Heaven br Wolves donned wool of the slaughtered Lamb br Shepherds wandered off into the wilderness br 'I thought I could discern the difference' br I cried out, 'I was mistaken! ! ' br The voice answered, 'If you truly knew br Neither dark nor light would be necessary br Only twilight's edge remains br Where the night and the day always meet br Returning to here and now, tears in my eyes br Bathing in the glow of twilight's edge br The birds went quiet br For precious moments br Peace from beyond dried my tears br Suddenly I thought I had glimpsed Paradise br br br © 2005 Roderick Dwayne Geringbr br Roderick Dwayne Geringbr br
