michael walkerjohn - Light Lost

Pathways, made with swollen stones, br upon lays light so lost; br narrow, dark, and dreary, br thorned roses, edge walk's walls; br bleak, are lonely roads so trode, br rough is footings cross; br wails in anguish, one's soul mourns, br stumbled in love's squall. br br Not graced by reflections, br thoughts of love, impends demise; br trek, of each in it unspoken, br hearts soon in it, chastised; br all around, worn battles torn, br one's life peace, brutalized; br maddening curse, in loving's thirsts, br soul's purity, is bastardised. br br Dark, lonesome halls, br within each soul, murky mind's surmise; br forgotten starts, fast sparks in hearts, br sadness arrow flies; br torn flesh, wrought by flying hurts, br truth's mind despised; br pain and torment, life beholds, br a sparrow's breast incised. br br Welling eyes, shed years of tears, br on these pathways yearning; br in denial, all pains so flay, br sweetness, in one's soul burning; br piths of love, asoak in blood, br lost forever, each souls churning; br face to skies, sheer tears cry, br hearts seek bonds adhering. br br Pure light seeks, the mated streak, br in any love's suited themes; br waiting, that perfect match, br till now, available only in dreams; br hearts woo hearts, br forgetful, of life's broken, empty streams; br still minds fall, to such depths, br hope is, in pure love's ends.
