AISWARYA T ANISH - THE GREAT VALUABLE GIFT ON CHRISTMAS DAY

“Wow! It’s Christmas, happiness coming br Now for the gift welcoming loving br Then to the church to bow before God br And to the market to buy me a gift br I have the fifty cents all for myself” br Fanny jumped happily, she ran out to shop. br br Dancing and skipping she went on her way br Across holy Churches, br Across lit up houses br Across snow laden parks and snowy canals br Gardening, sweating br She had made her money. br br “I want a present, br A present I want, br I had a hard time to earn these br Christmas is the best time to forget it all” br She cried out with joy, br To the man in the shop br br Beautiful pastries and plum cakes a fresh br Packed up in boxes br She left from the shop br But lo! At the end of the street, she did see br A young dainty lady, holding her child br Sobbing away at the plight so sad br br Tired she looked, unhappy too br For her baby was sick and hungry too br Fanny stood still and thought for a while br Then the gift to the child, she smilingly gave br The two of them, br Very grateful now, went on their way to their cold little home br br Blessed is the child, br Who gift from the heart br Rest she will ever in the arm of her Lord. br br December 2007 br br br (I wrote this for the Christmas celebration December 2007 in my school.
