LIKE SO MANY POEMS I READ br br Like so many poems I read br These poems I am reading now br Are not poems to me. br br They are too detached br Too abstract br Too up in the air. br br I want to hear the words br Make a music of feeling br In my soul. br br br A poem must move me br If it is to be real.
