Zion Odeyemi - I Wish I'm Older...I Wish I'm Younger

Sitting on my lonely bed br Brooding upon a relationship that went bad br Sore in the heart for the reason was unimaginably bad br Wondering why here, everything appears bad br br Who are those deciding my fate? br I believe love should protect the interest of mates br Why then do the society decide our fate? br Why not give our faith the mantle over our fate br br Though today the world is wide awake br Yet our world decided our ways br About love, Africa stands a mile away br With the basics they chase love away br br I wish we can put all behind br Yet from the tide of social-norms we hide br She wants me to be brave and face the beehive br But can I tamper with the love of those whom I care br br Its time to decide if to stand for what I belief br But I lack the courage to spell my belief br And I'm left with nothing but wishes to hold on to br Yet wishes and reality are two worlds wide apart br br I say to myself as time rolls by br I wish I am older br Yet I hear the resounding echo of her voice br I wish I am Younger.
