Amanda Combs Feltner - One Thousand Roses

Amanda Combs Feltner - One Thousand Roses

One beautiful Saturday in August br When the leaves began to drop br From out in the lake came a cruiser br To anchor at Buckhorn Dock His smile was as broad as the Ocean br His chest was bare and brown br His eyes sparkled like diamonds br His friends he had found His pleasure was boating at Buckhorn br At noon day or at dark br A tragedy over took him br At fifteen till nine o'clock To show his love and affection br To his brother who had died br He placed One Thousand Roses br In a blanket by his side.
