Barbara A. McCormick - ENTER

Enter the day, enter the night br Slipping away, from an endless fight br Unfairly abused, injected by pain br Cluttering with thought, beyond control br Slowly eating away at the heart and soul br Leaving the throb of hurt in the heart to remain. br Feeling the weight of life, and gravity of bitterness. br To learn explosive emotions are better to repress. br Corrupt energy that invades this dwelling br When perceptions are blurred demons intrude br Hopelessly gasping for a breath of rectitude br At times the pressure of walls closing in, is compelling, br Extending lessons left unlearned, br Intense hells fire leaving only ashes burned, br Having the choice between good and evil br To believe nothing can subdue loves power br Though tortured by time, precious each hour br Enter, to capture what life has yet to instill.br br Barbara A.
