Carol D. Stamp - Nature's Cycle

The many varied autumn leaves br All colored by the hand of God br Fall gently, swirling to the ground br To cover up the earth we've trod. br br Too soon the windy driven snow, br So picturesque and cold and white br Will glaze her magic coverlet br To last through winter's cold dark night. br br But even as this all takes place, br The trees, so gaunt, lifeless and bare, br Are silently creating life br For all to see and all to share. br br And with the coming of the spring br The sunny days and falling rain br Will stir alive Earth's hidden births br And bring forth Nature's bloom again. br br And with the coming of the spring, br When every house or nearby hill br Will hear the singing of the birds br And thrill as Nature is fulfilled. br br We too are part of this great scene. br We take our place across the land br And when our final night appears br Reach out to meet God's waiting hand.br br Carol D.
