How I yearn for those good old days br when mother was up and around br and the tasks she had to face each day br I still find hard to compound br br Mother was as grand as a mother can be br and she will always remain in my heart br yet she fades away like a morning star br like a dream that has fallen apart br br Her tenure on earth was a holy thing br A host of heavenly grace br yet her passing was awesome filled with woe br an undefined sort of pace br br She has gone to a place that still must be br a sacred mystery to you and me br br If your souls is still sad and much in despair br your spirit can be lifted with a pious prayer br and one by one we fall asleep br May God unite us - eternally to keep.br br Charles R.
