Rudyard Kipling - Four-Feet

Rudyard Kipling - Four-Feet

I have done mostly what most men do, br And pushed it out of my mind; br But I can't forget, if I wanted to, br Four-Feet trotting behind. br br Day after day, the whole day through -- br Wherever my road inclined -- br Four-feet said, "I am coming with you!" br And trotted along behind. br br Now I must go by some other round, -- br Which I shall never find -- br Somewhere that does not carry the sound br Of Four-Feet trotting behind.
