Anne Brontë - A Prayer

Anne Brontë - A Prayer

My God (oh, let me call Thee mine, br Weak, wretched sinner though I be), br My trembling soul would fain be Thine; br My feeble faith still clings to Thee. br br Not only for the Past I grieve, br The Future fills me with dismay; br Unless Thou hasten to relieve, br Thy suppliant is a castaway. br br I cannot say my faith is strong, br I dare not hope my love is great; br But strength and love to Thee belong; br Oh, do not leave me desolate! br br I know I owe my all to Thee; br Oh, TAKE the heart I cannot give! br Do Thou my strength--my Saviour be, br And MAKE me to Thy glory live.
