David Gascoyne - Yves Tanguy

David Gascoyne - Yves Tanguy

The worlds are breaking in my head br Blown by the brainless wind br That comes from afar br Swollen with dusk and dust br And hysterical rain br br The fading cries of the light br Awaken the endless desert br Engrossed in its tropical slumber br Enclosed by the dead grey oceans br Enclasped by the arms of the night br br The worlds are breaking in my head br Their fragments are crumbs of despair br The food of the solitary damned br Who await the gross tumult of turbulent br Days bringing change without end. br br The worlds are breaking in my head br The fuming future sleeps no more br For their seeds are beginning to grow br To creep and to cry midst the br Rocks of the deserts to come br br Planetary seed br Sown by the grotesque wind br Whose head is so swollen with rumours br Whose hands are so urgent with tumours br Whose feet are so deep in the sand.
