Wilfred Owen - I Know The Music

All sounds have been as music to my listening: br Pacific lamentations of slow bells, br The crunch of boots on blue snow rosy-glistening, br Shuffle of autumn leaves; and all farewells: br br Bugles that sadden all the evening air, br And country bells clamouring their last appeals br Before [the] music of the evening prayer; br Bridges, sonorous under carriage wheels. br br Gurgle of sluicing surge through hollow rocks, br The gluttonous lapping of the waves on weeds, br Whisper of grass; the myriad-tinkling flocks, br The warbling drawl of flutes and shepherds' reeds. br br The orchestral noises of October nights br Blowing ( ) symphonetic storms br Of startled clarions ( ) br Drums, rumbling and rolling thunderous and ( ). br br Thrilling of throstles in the keen blue dawn, br Bees fumbling and fuming over sainfoin-fields.
