1 br br Bright shadows of true Rest! some shoots of bliss, br Heaven once a week; br The next world's gladness prepossest in this; br A day to seek; br Eternity in time; the steps by which br We Climb above all ages; Lamps that light br Man through his heap of dark days; and the rich, br And full redemption of the whole week's flight. br br 2 br br The Pulleys unto headlong man; time's bower; br The narrow way; br Transplanted Paradise; God's walking hour; br The Cool o'th' day; br The Creatures' Jubilee; God's parle with dust; br Heaven here; Man on the hills of Myrrh, and flowers; br Angels descending; the Returns of Trust; br A Gleam of glory, after six-days'-showers. br br 3 br br The Church's love-feasts; Time's Prerogative, br And Interest br Deducted from the whole; The Combs, and hive, br And home of rest. br The milky way chalked out with suns; a clue br That guides through erring hours; and in full story br A taste of Heav'n on earth; the pledge, and cue br Of a full feast: And the Out Courts of glory.
