All day the blanket snapped and swelled br on the line, roused by a hot spring wind.... br From there it witnessed the first sparrow, br early flies lifting their sticky feet, br and a green haze on the south-sloping hills. br Clouds rose over the mountain....At dusk br I took the blanket in, and we slept, br restless, under its fragrant weight.
