Bernard Shaw - Ocean.

Bernard Shaw - Ocean.

While sailing across the wide Indian Ocean, br My stomach queasy, from the rolling motion. br I took a stroll along the upper deck, br A scarf tied loosely around my neck br Looking out over the ever moving sea, br A strange emotion came over me. br What was I doing on this old boat? br It was a wonder that she was still afloat. br I leaned against an old wooden plank, br When all of a sudden my mind went blank. br I found myself floating three feet above my head, br What is this I asked myself am I now dead? br I rose high up into the cloudless sky, br Up and up it was ever so high. br Looking down I could see the small ship upon the sea, br I got frightened and returned promptly to me. br We sailed on to the Port of old Bombay, br Where I caught home an aeroplane I am happy to say. br I will no more sail upon an ocean, br For it fills my heart with strange emotion.
