Bernard Shaw - Hills and Dales.

Bernard Shaw - Hills and Dales.

Strolling over hills and dales, br br Wandering through the land of Wales. br br Groves of ash I passed on my way, br br Tall trees in the wind did sway. br br Ferns luscious in their coats of green, br br Wild flowers many I have never seen. br br A glory opening to my wondering eyes, br br At each turn and bend some new surprise. br br Villages enchanting to behold, br br A few quite new many very old. br br With here and there ruins of stone, br br Reminding me that I am alone. br br Alone on a journey of my choice, br br Good reason for my soul to rejoice. br br I realised that it soon must end, br br My mind sorrowful thoughts did send. br br I must return to my daily routine, br br Happy and thankful for all I have seen. br br Nature had shown me yet once again, br br That she alone had the power to keep me sane.
