Rajaram Ramachandran - A Lawyer's Joke

'Mr. Pleader, you aren't a fool br Just to violate the rule, br But you're a criminal lawyer, br Aware of the King's Order.' br br 'Only His Majesty's Royal Coach br Shall have four horses, br But why your coach br Was driven by four horses? ' br br 'You're found guilty of this offense br What do you say for this in defense? ' br The learned judge asked, br While the pleader coolly replied: ' br br 'My Lord, count them not br By their heads, but br Lift their tails and see. br Then you'll set me free.' br br Tails one, two and three revealed br The three horses he tied, br And the fourth one, a mare br Appeared very smart and fair. br br The entire Court burst into laughter br O'er the joke of the lawyer. br It was needless to say thereafter, br The said rule covered also Mare.
