There's a lighthouse on an island br built on boulders in the sea. br A home to no one anymore, br and it's beautiful to me. br br The waves come crashing, sending spray. br their salty drops rain down br blessing me and other people br and the buildings in the town. br br The lighthouse wakes at evening time br and its beacon comes around br protecting all the ships out there br so they don't run aground. br br I sit and send my wishes br way up high on seagull wings br and then pretend that they'll come true br on notes the lighthouse sings. br br That lighthouse must be magic. br I hear it call to me br from its bed of boulders br on an island in the sea.br br C.J.
