Years have passed and our hearts still ache br From that tragic September day. br Our smoke filled skyline said it all br As so many lives were taken away. br Three planes did not fly in the air as they should. br Their landings all seemingly wrong; br Yet, one of those planes went down with a fight br Singing a truly American song. br In a single remote Pennsylvania field br Our freedom fight found it's start. br Those voices rang loud a resounding 'no' br Touching every American heart. br For the victims in New York and Washington br The losses were so wide spread. br Some traveled by planes, some worked at their desks- br With monotony they would have felt blessed. br Instead they were struck with the worst of all fears- br An attack of the land we all love. br One common thread ties these horrendous events. br Our nation reached out in love. br As each of these angels met their Maker br We all did the next right thing. br We held each other tightly br Lifting prayers to our Heavenly King. br We swept and we searched and we freely shed tears. br Now we hug and remember loved ones. br Today 911's angels will smile... br Their life's purpose- FREEDOM- was won.
