The heavens are bright and cloudless, br The sky is a pale powder blue, br There’s a wonderful pink glow below it, br As the sun settles down right on cue. br br It leaves us at one with the heavens, br A feeling of deepest content, br The promise of sunshine tomorrow, br And the knowledge that life’s, heaven sent. br br I look at the scene with delight now, br As the scent of the roses wafts by, br Picked up by the breeze as it passes, br And carries it up to the sky. br br I hear now the song of the blackbird, br His final encore for the day, br It somehow makes me feel happy, br And I watch as he goes on his way.
