James Grengs - Outsiders

James Grengs - Outsiders

I cannot walk through my life br Without seeing them- guys and girls, br Silently calling, crying out br To be noticed. They think they are normal; br I say they are not. They are empty, br Hollow- shadows and ghosts. br Their silent cries, falling on the deaf ears br Around them, reveal to me who they are- br Dead, outsiders. They cannot escape reality, br So they close it out, huddling themselves br In the illusions of who they pretend to be. br I alone see their truth, but br I cannot reveal it, for I am not in their world, br Being- as I am- tied to reality.
