Elsa Bear - Dancing Dreams

Elsa Bear - Dancing Dreams

blank pages stare back at her br a book full of them br feeling uninspired she sits by her window sill br staring at the trees, the houses, the passersby. br she opens the window to get a better look. br the wind whips her unruly black hair around her face, br her breath visible before her. br she leans out of the window br arms outstretched, fingers brushing the wind. br her skin is translucent, ethereal, br white as the snowflakes dancing in the air br her smile is slow, peaceful. br opening her eyes she looks up at the moon br at the stars br and the echo of his name calls through the night. br she is reminded that br when it thunders through the empty skies br there's no one left to hold her when the storm birds fly br no one left to care. br all she dreamed for, all she hoped for was lost. br snowflakes land on her delicate fingertips br startling her. br they begin to melt. br she turns and flies from the room, br down the stairs and into the night br to dance in the snow br to forget her misery br to create new dreams.
