Louise Bizzari - A Starlit Night

Louise Bizzari - A Starlit Night

If I were a Starlit Night br I would paint the sky br In darkest light br br Splashing heaven in veiled disguise br To shadow dusk from mornings rise br Like jeweled beads upon a sea br Of rushing waves in tapestry br That splatter garland in colors bold br Of quickened silver and whitened gold br br Moonbeams strung would drape each star br To blend what's near and blend what's far br Each velvet dropp of star and light br In dotted waves of day and night br Would catch each tear upon your face br That broke and split without a trace br br Against the moons transparent veil br Where footprints mark its celestial trail br In silent sorrows ephemeral grace br The rise and fall of human race br To those that profit in affliction br To reap no truth or wise conviction br But empty praise and muddled diction br br Not handed wave or handed open br To gaze upon the cruelty spoken br Of shattered sadness br And scattered madness br Of fleeting hours br And sleeping sorrows br br The gilded beauty's soul is keeping br Murmur of her thoughts are weeping: br 'If I were a Starlit Night br I would paint the sky br In darkest light'br br Louise Bizzaribr br
