sylvia spencer - House and Home

Windows sparkling bright, br without a touch of dust. br White plastic frames br to stop corrosion and rust. br Outside and inside, br always looking new. br These people had no children, br but I had quite a few. br Bikes in the yard, br and a garden like a tip br the neighbours put the flags out br when we went on a trip. br Our house was home, br and all the comforts in it br but because we were working class br we just couldn't win it! br In the garden we had a hedge br that was seven foot tall, br Hubby! always said br 'it was cheeper than building a wall' br Hubby never liked the neighbours, br he said they were to posh br always washing there fancy cars br just to make us, think, br that they had lots of dosh. br One day my sons football br landed in next doors pool, br she came running at him with a broomstick, br Oh how that cow! was cruel, br The kids called her wichy-poo br with her long dyed black hair. br little did she know that, I had a temper, br one that you could call, quite rare. br The dustbin was loaded br and over the hedge it went br I wouldn't stand no nonsence, br that was my message truly sent. br Our home, was our castle, br With love that was there forever. br The only time, my young one's played up br was when we had bad weather.
