sylvia spencer - Ride The Imagination Train

When my children were small, br we played a great, wet weather game. br One where we would travel, br on the Great Imagination Train. br First we would travel, br through fields and pastures green br and visit all the places, br that they had never seen, br but before we could do this br we had to board, The Great Imagination br either at Waterloo, br or Charring Cross Station. br We would track up to Liverpool, br through Englands country wide br then stop for an ice cream, br along the Merseyside. br They all loved the viaduct br with it's great distance below. br It was even better over an aqueduct, br where they could see the river underflow. br When they travelled through a tunnel, br that was built in the side of a hill. br They would all start screaming, br but it was really quite a thrill. br Off we would go to Manchester br to see the ship canal. br It was very tight along the track br they all thought her brakes would fail. br Our train took us over bridges, br as we travelled, from north to south, br the train took us to the Thames estuary br and we even saw her mouth. br It was here we reached Southhampton, br with all the ships to see. br The time was right to stop for lunch br while the kids had a paddle in the sea. br This Great Train game, br was loved by them all, br To them it was a geography lesson br which helped them at school. br It was a game of fun, br that kept them amused. br Not one of my kids were Hypo br this game just totally, defused.
