Scarborough Gypsy - Keeper

Scarborough Gypsy - Keeper

I know he hurts inside br He misses his boys so much br But I am helpless to his pain br I tread on eggshells when we speak of them br And I see the signs he gives br That tells me not to go there br Their mother won’t permit visits anymore br Black heart and bitter soul br It’s been a year now br An eternal year br br I try to make him happy but I know br There’s an emptiness I cannot fill br An emptiness that breeds guilt br And a sense of failure as a father br But he is the best father br He does his best br Keeps in touch br Keeps a brave face br And keeps his feelings br Out of arms reach br From me.
