James L Comerford - sail

found this today upon the ground, br br just something somebody wrote, br br A few lines not very profound, br br A tale of a chap and his sailing boat, br br About the wind in his hair, br br And the ebb and the flow, br br Off the tides of his life, br br The fact that perhaps he should have taken a wife br br No children to share br br No cross to bear br br Just an open sea heading nowhere br br br br his thoughts were shrouded by a mist, br br the echos of his mother voice br br telling him he had the choice, br br to break the chains that bound him down, br br or to carry on answering to his fathers fist, br br a scream erupted from deep within br br its time to to discover what might have been br br so he took to the sea with no cross to bear br br just an open sea heading nowhere br br seeking someone to share br br br br Thirty years later our man stood alone br br He had found no wife to enhance his life br br His thoughts were hazy and unclear br br His existence wasted br br The life he craved the passion he sought br br Was just another passing thought br br There is no moral or end to this tale br br Our man still lives in his solitude br br His mind is closed his lust has vanished br br All he has is his Loneliness and a boat in which to sailbr br James L Comerfordbr br
