Lara W.A - Mum, I Wanna Marry a Rockstar (is that okay?)

I told my mum br “I wanna marry a rockstar” br I don’t want a lawyer br They talk way too much br I hate structures, mum br Lawyers – they obey everything br And they quote Sections and Articles br From the Federal Constitution br Those are their mantras. br Yikes! That's gross! br I would rather study Dalai Lama br And quote Sun Tzu. br br I don’t want an accountant br They’re stingy and predictable br I should know br My friends – they’re neat to the core br They carry rulers everywhere they go. br They apply prudence concept in their life - br Where provisions for doubtful debts br Always comes in handy. br Everything has its maturity value - br They have some sort of br Obsession with the idea of depreciation. br Oh and you can expect them to say: br “You owe me RM 13.21” br br I don’t want a doctor br They’re too boring br My uncle’s a doctor br And he’s not my favorite. br He carries himself recklessly br Playing an ineffective role as everybody's consultant br Thinking he’s Oprah. br He appears on talk shows br Makes millions and earns temporary fame br But still, I think br There’s more to life. br He claims he’s an excellent pianist br But all he’s ever played is br The Beatles’ Let It Be br That must have been his anthem song. br br Therefore, mum br I want a rockstar br Rockstars are cool br They write lyrics so deep br We don’t understand br They dress anyway they wish br And don't mind looking odd. br I want a Thom Yorke br I want a JD Fortune br They help troubled people like me br You have no idea, mum br They say “Hold on if you feel like letting go” br So I hold on, br And I last one more day.br br Lara W.
