Herbert Nehrlich - Farewell My Friend

Herbert Nehrlich - Farewell My Friend

I had been married to her, br for going on five years. br Pearl white in colour, br and the inline six. br br I did not have the heart br or what you may consider br the inner moral strength br to say good-bye to you. br br You have been, truly, br my very loyal friend, br Onehundredninety horses br and sweet torque aplenty, br you never let me down, br you never even once br considered faltering, br you have been what I'd call br a blatant inspiration. br br So, do you mind, br if I just wave at you, br while driving out br into the streets of life, br while you sit there, br a bit forlorn and sad. br br I do not know your psyche, br although we did br spend so much time together br and you were there br when things got tough br and rough and tumble, br you had the wherewithall br to shrug your fenders, br and blink those Osram bulbs br as if to say, 'Oh yes we can'. br br I hope, with my own, heavy heart br that you will find a home, br a new companion br who treats you well br and does appreciate br the soul that can be found br only in places near br the most elusive Edelweiss. br br I will remember you br with fondness, br and I can say br that we were br such a lucky pair.
