Herbert Nehrlich - Wait For Me

Herbert Nehrlich - Wait For Me

A most exquisite purple flower br was waiting for a summer shower. br It had not rained in many days br and only hot and burning rays br were lavished on the tiny flora br but prayer to the Cantadora br was not rewarded with success br it seemed that spirits could care less. br br For forty days and forty nights br the flower kept within her sights br all clouds in hopes that they would cry br but nothing happened, time went by. br br On Christmas day the rains then started br but many plants had gone, departed br the purple flower had held up br projected from her petals' cup br a message written in dark green br it was precise and could be seen br in Heaven and, of course, in Hell br and when at last the raindrops fell br God read the message he could see br it said, 'dear God, please wait for me.
