I saw a beautiful butterfly in flight br And how it enlightened my life. br For one bright, fleeting instant, br I forgot about my problems and strife. br br It hovered over the succulent vegetation br Until its wings began to spread, br And then it glided toward the bed of flowers br Of orange, pink, and red. br br I thought how fragile this butterfly - br The same is true of life br which comes and goes so quickly br When we become entangled in wordly strife. br br Take time to enjoy the offerings of nature, br Make the best of each emerging day, br For life lingers like the delicate butterfly, br It sort of silently flutters away.br br Joseph T.
