A poem is when it is born br a trifle like a unicorn. br It hovers in its growing stage br displays, perhaps a bit of rage br unbridled it can be and wet br just like a baby you have met br but what it really sets apart br from other godly works of art br it grows a horn perfectly suited br in which the poet's soul is rooted. br So when your inner thoughts feel torn br just think of your own unicorn. br And don't forget that all your words br have wings and fly about like birds br and comes the day the world should mourn br their poet was a unicorn.
