Herbert Nehrlich - For Max And Sally

Herbert Nehrlich - For Max And Sally

The fly was in the belly yes, br and found therein a frightning mess br the fly was anxious to get out br so he flew wildly all about br the belly of the hungry frog br who sat, still, on that ancient log. br When, wise old owl came passing by br all dressed in suit and green bow tie. br She had the latest Sunday Times br and told the frog to read the rhymes br there, in the section 'Poetry'. br The frog first scratched his bright green knee br and then he told himself 'I need it', br and started chanting 'read it, read it'. br But chanting thus requires bellows br to blow and thus, imprisoned fellows br like flies or other little guys br if they're not dead yet, realise br this happy opportunity br to read the paper and be free. br So, out he went and landed on br the headline of the section Sun br the frog whose eyes at first detected br a movement, (of the just defected) br strained tired eyes and sniffed around br the fly was fearing to be found. br So, quickly he hid under 'S' br the big black letter, that the press br had printed with a lot of ink, br which also still, did have the stink br of chemicals so that the frog br who only lived there near his log br could neither smell nor see the fly br and he forgot, as time went by br all memories of flies for food br since poetry had changed his mood. br Thus you can see the usefulness br of lovely poetry, like this.
