Well today is the day, as they say br not in March or September or May br that you party it up br at your poet fan club br I was going to write you a play. br br But the gremlin that lives in my mind br who is tugging my ear from behind br he made sure I would lose br all the help from my muse br thus it follows I am in a bind. br br So a limerick will have to do br it is nothing earthshaking or new br all the best to this girl br so, I'll give it a whirl br I'm sending my love to you. br br ************************************ br Did the chicken precede the egg, br your careful attention I beg br since no hen was around br to dropp eggs on the ground..? br (and I wouldn't be pulling your leg) . br br Where the egg comes from is a big riddle, br so I asked the wise man with the fiddle, br and he said that each rabbit br makes egg-laying a habit br They come out of the hole in the middle. br br Now you know that those chickens don't lay. br On the farm they go search in the hay br for the eggs left by hares, br in the end though, who cares br I will have my egg poached if I may.
