Eila Mahima Jaipaul - The Savage Silence Of Desire

Eila Mahima Jaipaul - The Savage Silence Of Desire

I lay lust aside and sleep br alone in constellations br of twinkling lullabies, br where the gentle breath br of linen and the sea br soothes the savage quiet br in hormones and nature. br br Yet in flutters br the siren breeze br with an arabesque br to challenge my mournful chastity br it is the primal symphony br of mating. br I resist, I rebel, I renounce. br I plead, br no more br cruel reminders br of skin turned to dust br from lack of touch. br br br The cry is belated. br already music fills my ears, br lava fills my veins. br there is a crescendo, br in this goddess, br It becomes harmonic; br entrenched in my brain, br in my suffering heart, br in my desolate wetness. br br I resist, I rebel br I surrender br to the absinthe of desire. br With feverish suffocation br I imagine br a whirlpool opera br of reverent flesh br wearily I caress br and think of love br devouring my fruits br and feasts br cascading into me br until silence claims its throne br ending the temporary suffering br like the benevolent queen that I am.
